Palazzo Condos

Scheduled to open its main hotel tower in December of 2007, The Palazzo is a $1.8 billion dollar resort project from The Las Vegas Sands Corporation that, when totally completed, will contain some 3,025 hotel suites and 270 luxury condos. The entire complex will be a combination of residences, high-end retailers, entertainment and gaming facilities that will rival anything yet built in the Las Vegas area. Situated next to The Venetian and the Sands Expo, the three developments will together become the largest group of hotel and resort facilities in the world.

The Palazzo hotel stands at 50 stories and its stunning focal point is the 60 foot tall domed lobby encased in glass. Towering two story fountains set among colossal columns of bronze and marble greet guests entering there. The hotel has a total of seven pools on its pool deck and the green space is landscaped with topiary sculptures, palm trees and fountains. The pool deck is home to multiple restaurants and two of the six villas. There will be a theater on the grounds that will host productions as well as a full service spa. From the extensive underground parking garage that holds up to 4,000 cars, there are elevators and escalators that deliver guests straight into the casino portion of the complex. The same is true of the two villas located beside the pools. Guests there will have elevators that carry them to the baccarat area, eliminating any lengthy walking to and from their residences during their stay at the Palazzo.

The Palazzo hotel will have 375 concierge-level suites in its room list and 296 multi-room suites, six of which will be presidential suites. The hotel suites are between approximately 650 to 735 square feet in space. The furnishings include either one king size to two queen size beds, sofa, dining table and chairs, phone and fax machine and desk. The interior is a type of split level with the living areas lower and the sleeping area raised.

The six private villas at Palazzo will have as much as 11,000 square feet of living space with from 3 to 4 bedrooms and baths. Other features of the villas are a personal gym and spa, massage room, Jacuzzi, media room and the most lavish have personal butlers and putting greens outdoors. These villas are targeted at the most ardent gamblers, offering the guests who stay there the experience of a life time both with the luxury suites and the extensive casino available for their pleasure.

The casino portion of the Palazzo complex is incredibly large, to say the least. The developers want the Palazzo to be the ultimate stop for serious and even not so serious gamblers. Within 105,000 square feet of space the casino houses over 80 table games and between 1,900 and 2,000 slot machines. The Palazzo will also debut an extensive enclosed shopping complex sometime in early 2008. This is the perfect compliment to the casino and will provide ample entertainment and recreation for the spouses who don’t wish to participate in the casino games. The retail sector will contain a mixture of fine dining options, entertainment venues, more than 80 shops of every type and price level and also a business section for conferences.

The developers of The Palazzo announced in February of 2007 that there would be an additional tower built at the resort that will eventually contain another 270 condominiums. The interesting thing about this future new glass tower is that it will be constructed above the building that is slated to contain the Barney's clothing store.

According to the Palazzo website, the tentative schedule of events for the resort is for the hotel to be open by December 20, 2007. The shopping complex will open in January and the Theater will begin productions sometime next spring. The condominium tower planned above Barney's is not far enough along to have any estimated dates.

The Palazzo will be an incredible resort located in one of the most exciting cities in the world. With the complementary Venetian and Sans next door, the trio is certain to draw guests from all over, and not just for the casino fun. The luxury of The Palazzo hotel and condos will stand on their own merit and guests can bet on that.
