Las Vegas Real Estate Agent

For your peace of mind, be sure to hire a licensed Las Vegas real estate agent, to sell your real estate property successfully. The term “Licensed” here is an important distinction. A licensed realtor is always a real estate agent, but not all real estate agents are realtors. The title of "realtor" is only accorded to a professional who has undergone training and is an active member of the National Association of Realtors.

After all, you wouldn’t let a dental student pull your tooth when you could go to a dentist, right? It is the same with a licensed real estate agent, who is experienced and abides by a set code of ethics. You can rely on this real estate agent to work on your behalf to get the highest bid for your property.

The duties of real estate agents go beyond simply putting a “For Sale” sign in front of your house and touring prospective buyers. What are some of the responsibilities of your Las Vegas real estate agent towards you, the client?

The Nevada state laws require your agent to:

1. Inform you as to the status of the real estate transaction as soon as is practical.

2. Inform you of all relevant facts, data or information which the realtor knows, or should with diligence know, about the property he or she is selling for you.

3. Promote only the interest of his/her client by:
a. Selling the property at a price acceptable to the client.
b. Advising the client to seek expert advice from others on matters that are not part of the agent’s area of expertise.
c. Accounting for all money and property the realtor receives in which the client has an interest, as soon as practicable.
d. Not being a party to deceitful, fraudulent or dishonest real estate transactions.
